Military Sourcing

Background
In today's highly competitive labor market, companies are challenged to find candidates that possess these qualities. With more than 275,000 highly proficient military professionals transitioning to civilian life each year, this group represents a significantly underutilized resource for employers. WB&B's alliance with The Center for Military and Private Sector Initiatives, a non-profit organization, helps bridge the gap between the military workforce and the private sector, and provides a pipeline of talent to companies.

Our Mission
In 1995, The Office of the Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff asked WB&B to conduct a study to quantify how well prior service military professionals were being assimilated into the private sector workplace. The data revealed veterans were vastly under employed, facing many of the same barriers to employment that have traditionally challenged women, people of color and military professionals in the workplace. This is unfortunate considering that military professional represent some of the most highly-skilled craftsmen, technicians, managers and professionals in the world.

At WB&B, our consultants' backgrounds in military service coupled with unparalleled diversity recruiting skills makes WB&B the logical partner in a project to help corporate America better access this talent.
